Ski Teal We Drop - OPI

Hello!

A week or so ago I added 3 OPIs to my nail polish collection. I have two Nicole by OPI, and loved the brush size, polish, the bottle and everything about them so I was excited to try OPI.

The colours I have are: Ski Teal We Drop, Big Apple Red and Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?
I absolutely LOVE the names of them! Fabbity fab!

Last night I painted my nails in Ski Teal We Drop, a colour that I absolutely LOVE! I think this is my favourite polish!

This was a base coat, two coats of Ski Teal We Drop and a topcoat.

This is the base coat I use:

(I promise I won't put a picture of the topcoat all the time!) :-)

The polish is so smooth and soft it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing any nail polish at all!

Sharpie

Hello!

A few days ago I was using a black Sharpie pen and started to draw on my nails (Barry M's Bright Purple), purely out of boredom - however, I didn't realise that it wouldn't come off!!! (Despite it clearly saying "permanent marker", I didn't give it any thought if it would be a problem to remove!)

I scrubbed with soap and tissue and it was doing minimal damage, so I ended up putting another coat of polish over it, as I didn't want to take it all off after my silly little mishap! So, after I started to have a little tip wear on my nails, and fancied a new colour, I did my whole hand with different designs in Sharpie!

I did try and placed a topcoat over my little finger, but I hadn't left it very long at all and it did smear slightly.

I drew simple random doodles that sprung into mind; a heart, lightening bolt (I LOVE Harry Potter), polka dots and some simple lines on the corner of the nail.

Although when I do have nail art, I use proper nail art pens, I was still impressed with the Sharpie designs!!

Bright Purple - Barry M

Hello! Last week I bought two new colours to add to my ever-growing Barry M collection - I now have a whopping total of 17! My newest polishes are Bright Purple and Aqua glitter.

Yesterday I was lucky to grab a brilliant bargain in TKMaxx, Sally Hansen's Strengthening Topcoat, Advanced Hard As Nails, less than half the original price! Fab! I used to have some basecoats and topcoats, but they were mainly from gift sets, so I was excited to try a popular brand!

Last night I painted my nails with a Barry M's Bright Purple. I applied 3 coats of Bright Purple, (I often only need two coats with Barry M) to achieve full consistency.

The Strengthening Topcoat was absolutely brilliant; it said to leave it two minutes between applying the nail colour then the topcoat, however I was not that speedy so left it was left a little longer. I am normally extremely careful, dreading that my nails will dent or be ruined, but within no time at all I was left with beautifully dry, shiny nails!

Due to the three coats or purple, I did find that it was slightly darker than the bottle, but that didn't bother me, I was to overwhelmed with the Top Coat!

I love how smooth and shiny my nails are - I love them!

Berry Ice Cream - Barry M

My first nail blog post!

This is Berry Ice Cream by Barry M, a polish that I find perfect for summer! This was 3 coats, and I absolutely love the colour!

I normally tend to stick to darker shades for my nails, as I feel they suit me more, but I couldn't resist this light colour, especially seeing it on a few of my friends!

The day after I wanted to jazz my nails up, and experiment with a new polish; so I used Bloomsbury Square by Nails Inc, a fab glitter that is so packed with glitter, I only needed 2 coats! I also put a topcoat on the accent nail, purely to eliminate the slight glittery texture.
